About the team

Platform Operations play a vital role in supporting various products across multiple regions, assisting an internal group dedicated to tier 1 and tier 2 financial institutions. The applications they support operate on SQL and Oracle platforms, primarily hosted on Windows with some Linux components. The team manages a diverse range of technologies, from physical to virtual machines, across private and public cloud infrastructures.

What you will be doing

As a Technical Support Engineer Senior, you'll be accountable for supporting live software systems for numerous FIS clients. This role offers you the chance to cultivate and sustain daily connections with essential internal stakeholders, such as Client Experience and Professional Services teams.

  • Your responsibilities encompass owning and managing processes and data structures on live servers.
  • Investigating and reproducing software and hardware issues
  • Deploying workarounds and facilitating issue resolution.
  • Windows administration
  • Database configuration & scripting
  • Employing general troubleshooting methods.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for documenting discoveries and solutions and conveying them effectively to our business stakeholders.

What you bring:

As a Technical Support Engineer Senior, you'll shoulder the responsibility of supporting live software systems for one or more FIS clients. This role empowers you with the opportunity and obligation to foster and sustain daily client relationships through regular interactions and involvement in planning Risk Infrastructure work.

Your tasks will encompass owning and managing processes and data structures on live servers, investigating and reproducing software and hardware issues, implementing workarounds, and guiding issue resolution. You'll undertake general Windows administration, database configuration, scripting, and deploy various problem-solving techniques.

Furthermore, you'll be tasked with documenting findings and resolutions and effectively conveying them to our clients. Your profile should include strong interpersonal communication skills, a robust technical skill set, evident problem-solving capabilities, self-motivation coupled with a profound sense of ownership, and a commitment to seeing issues through to resolution. Your ability to prioritize tasks ensures the maintenance of client satisfaction.
