Our Newest Opportunity: 

We are looking for a Captive Consulting Account Manager to join our P&C Captive Consulting Practice Team. Ideal candidates will have a competitive drive, innovative mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for making a difference for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for supporting the initial sale, onboarding, ongoing service, and renewal activities of various clients within captive programs. Including communicating requirements and needed items/duties with producers, account executives, and/or account managers.
  • Collaborate with Captive Consultants to assist in gathering, preparing, and submitting applications and supporting documentation for underwriters, program administrators, actuaries, and other captive service providers for the purpose of evaluating new business and renewing existing business.
  • Participate in client/prospect presentations and board meetings, as needed.
  • Managing accounts in accordance with agency standards and workflows, including binding and issuing policies, endorsements, and audits.
  • Preparing binders, certificates, account summaries (to include premium and loss experience as well as coverage), endorsements, policies, lost policy releases and account balance status when requested.
  • Reviewing and interpreting coverage for new and renewal policies per guidelines, endorsements, and handling audits for accuracy in rating, typing coverage and signatures.
  • Responding to client questions regarding insurance coverage and exposures
  • Establishing strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, carriers, and program administrators.
  • Researching for unique coverage situations and new coverages in the industry.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements Include:

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with the Consulting and Production teams to ensure alignment on new and renewal business.
  • Ability to learn the captive sales and service process.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while communicating activities & outcomes with the team.
  • Viewed as trustworthy and operates on a solid ethical foundation.
  • Knowledge and ability for ongoing learning of a variety of industry exposures and risk.
  • Ability to communicate well with persons at all levels of authority in writing or verbally.
  • Good understanding of finance and accounting principals
  • Ability to read, understand and analyze coverages, forms, and policies.
  • Ability to provide own transportation and ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications:

  • Education: College degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years’ experience, preferably in commercial property & casualty, either at carrier or agency.
  • Active state specific insurance agent license, or ability to acquire a license within three months

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $55,000 to $85,000 per year.


Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
