The Opportunity

The Manager, Product Technology Advisory oversees internal and external advisory services, technical integration consultation, and external technical representation of our solutions. The technical integration team will build a client billable advisory service through subject matter expertise and with an enterprise lens to drive technology integration strategy and assessments for clients. The team will support the technology strategy through the creation and maintenance of product technology roadmaps for internal business units. The Manager will ensure that technical integration points and enterprise systems throughout the organization aligns with the strategic vision of the company. The Manager will also ensure our roadmap delivery has a technology view that supports client investments and integration requirements. This position is accountable for the delivery of technical advisory services.

Supervisor Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.

  • Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff.

  • Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement.

  • Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards.

Day in the Life

  • Leads the Product Technology Advisory and integration team in planning, execution and delivery of SME support for integration with Velera technologies, and for research and analysis for clients and vendors.

  • Help the team make progress, remove impediments, and guide them to the successful integration of technology across the enterprise and aligned to client technology environments.

  • Enable well-informed decision making by advising clients on the advantages and disadvantages of various options aligned with product and technology offerings.

  • Owns the technology solution for the client as part of client project technology delivery including the technical documentation of customer installs.

  • Builds a team of technical advisors that can pre-sell and consult with clients in a consultative manner to use our offered solutions and products.

  • Evaluates technology portfolio for the organization, with an end-to-end view of enterprise applications and their inputs and outputs and interactions. Develops each department’s technology roadmap as related to product experiences and data in partnership with that department’s senior leadership.

  • Leads advisors, and supports integration analyst, engineers, and architects supporting different products or lines of businesses. Directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, timeline, and cost.

  • Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the organization.

  • Partners with sales and product departments to ensure client growth and successful adoption of our products and technology.

  • Develops and operates team(s), its roles and responsibilities, processes, roadmaps, and service catalog.

  • Prioritizes resources for responsibility areas.

  • Directs developmental efforts of application development teams to provide leadership to department and staff for Performance Management, Learning Plans, Informal and Formal Coaching, and Development of Management and Staff

  • Champions and collaborates on enterprise-wide initiatives and teams, bringing an owner’s perspective.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  

  • Seven (7) years of experience within the financial services industry required. Seven (7) years of experience in a technology consultative role and/or application development experience.

  • Three (3) years leadership and management experience with demonstrated proficiencies in staff development and coaching preferred.

For California, Colorado and New York Applicants:  In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:

$117,000.00 - $152,100.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
