Yurts is seeking a pre-sales engineer to showcase the value of our Generative AI product to prospective customers. Job Description:

We’re looking for our first pre-sales-focused engineer at Yurts to demonstrate the power of our Generative AI product to prospective customers and partners. In this role you’ll architect and implement proof of concepts (POCs) that will show customers the impact Yurts can have on their business or mission. You’ll educate prospects on how various Yurts features will improve their productivity and on how we address common AI concerns (hallucinations, data leakage, etc.). Using your familiarity with customer needs, you’ll evangelize their use cases, desired features, and pain points internally to help Yurts further improve our product. By building a strong relationship with prospective customer stakeholders, you’ll become a trusted advisor, providing honest assessments of how Yurts can impact their productivity. 

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in leading customers through the technical sales journey, from requirements gathering to POC development to customer demonstrations. You will work closely with Yurts sales leaders throughout the sales cycle and will work closely with delivery engineers and customer success during the transition from sales to execution. You will meet with services, technology, and platform partners to develop prototype integrations and technical sales materials in support of co-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales leadership, the CEO, and the VP Delivery to develop and implement the technical pre-sales and delivery scoping process for Yurts.
  • Communicate with customer business stakeholders to identify areas where Yurts can bring value, then design and implement POCs for those opportunities.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with technical procurement stakeholders at major clients, driving 
  • Build and present demonstrations tailored to specific prospective customers to showcase the value of Yurts.
  • Lead technical pre-sales presentations and demonstrations with prospective customer stakeholders, translating technical concepts to business impact for non-technical decision-makers.
  • Work alongside pre-sales engineers at partner organizations to build reusable demonstration materials.
  • Analyze competitor products and build comparison materials to educate Yurts employees and prospective customers on our unique value proposition.
  • Relay customer feedback and insights to Yurts internal team to inform product decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to acquire a US Department of Defense or Intelligence SECRET or TS clearance.
  • 4 years experience in pre-sales engineering, 
  • 2 years of experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence products.
  • 2 years experience developing prototypes using cloud computing solutions like Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Python or another scripting language.
  • Proven contributions to successful technology sales processes. You will be Yurts’ first pre-sales engineer so you will frequently own the creation of such processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active US Department of Defense or Intelligence SECRET clearance (or higher).
  • Experience in technology startup environments.
  • Experience developing Generative AI prototypes.
