About the role:

As a Senior Databricks Engineer (m/f/d) in our growing department of BI & Analytics, you will be part of a team of 17 talented individuals organized into data domain squads. In this role, you will engage in exciting projects related to ETL process design, data pipeline optimization, and large-scale data processing. You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Databricks, Spark, and Azure, contributing to the development of robust data architectures and models. 

About your tasks:

• Design and develop ETL processes on the Databricks platform.
• Implement and optimize data pipelines to support data analysis and reporting.
• Process large volumes of data from various sources, including streaming data.
• Create and manage data architectures and models that meet business requirements.
• Implement database designs, including data warehouses and data lakes.
• Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations.
• Implement data management and governance strategies.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
• Document technical solutions and processes.
• Identify and implement best practices for performance optimization.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve data processing and analysis.

About you:

• At least 3 years of experience working with Databricks and Spark.
• Experience in data processing, ETL development, and big data environments.
• Experience in setting up a Databricks Infrastructures and follow best practises and data security
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of the Azure cloud platform is an advantage.
• Experience working with databases and data modeling.
