Junior Financial Consultant – Financial Advisory & Modelling - Infrastructure & Project Finance (september 2024)

As Financial Consultant within our Infrastructure & Project Finance team, you will be working on exciting projects from sustainable energy to large infrastructure projects.

More specifically, you will regularly interact with private and public clients, guiding them on the financial impact of their projects, and proposing ways to improve the project bankability and / or profitability. As you are working on a financial model, you will have to interact with specialists to better apprehend tax implications and technical aspects of the project. In your role, you will assist the other team members in the discussion on financial structuring (e.g. Subordinated Debt, Equity Bridge Facility, Mezzanine, Senior Facilities), assessing the impact of the funding structure on the feasibility of the project.

As you build up your experience, you will have the opportunity to quickly build a network with construction players, domestic and international institutional investors, regional / federal and supra-national authorities and other legal / tax advisors.

You will also gain first hand knowledge on projects that will shape our environment in the future years and help our clients dealing with their challenges and working on new business ideas.

Depending on the workload, you may also provide ad-hoc support to other business lines within the Financial Advisory team.

• You (will) hold a university degree with a focus on finance, engineering or business economics
• Preferably, you have a first professional experience (job or internship) in consulting or in a bank and understand the different debt-related products / project finance or modelling
• You like to deal with numbers, and go in details across financial models built in Excel
• You have strong analytical skills and are able to incorporate information into a financial model
• You are passionate and eager to learn
• You are pro-active, take on new initiatives and a team-player
• You are preferably fluent in Dutch and have strong written and oral command of English. French speaking candidates with a passive knowledge of Dutch will be considered when having a first relevant professional experience.
