The role of Head of Operational Effectiveness:
đ Be a catalyst for efficiency: design systems, drive results!
We need an innovative thinker to design and implement programs and major strategic projects, which enhance productivity and enable us to achieve Gleanâs organisational goals.
âDesign and develop an organisation that can excel at achieving our long term goalsâ: Thatâs our Organisation Effectiveness departmentâs purpose and weâre looking for a high performer to play a critical part in delivering on this.
Meet the team:
đ Youâll be an integral part of Gleanâs Leadership team:
Reporting into the COO (Chrissie Leahy), youâll work closely with other teams in our Organisation Effectiveness department including Finance, Employee Experience, Legal, and other teams across the organisation such as Data.
đą Line Management:
Youâll be responsible for managing and developing two teams at Glean: IT & Systems (which includes Gleanâs Head of IT & InfoSec and IT Support Specialist) and Executive Support (including an EA and a PA), with responsibility for Compliance and managing risk.

What youâll be doing:
đ Hereâs what your first 6-12 months at Glean could look like:
- Gaining an in-depth understanding of how different teams and functions work at Glean, what speeds us up, what slows us down and what we can do about it.
- Managing a major cross-company change project, interacting with every department in the business, including the Executive Team.
- Taking control of how we define, measure and manage company performance and implementing systems and processes that help us succeed.
- Kicking off your own change and improvement projects to address the bottlenecks and inefficiencies you identify.
Who are we looking for?
đ¤ Strategic Advisor & Team Leader: You work collaboratively with Leadership teams, as well as managing your own teams and working cross-functionally to deliver results.
đ Project & Stakeholder Management Expert: Youâll be skilled in project management with a proven track record of success, including building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
đ Data-Driven & Results-Oriented: Weâre looking for someone who is skilled in reporting, business intelligence, and data analysis to drive data-informed decisions, with a strong working understanding of regulations weâll need to comply with.
âď¸ Process & People Expertise: Youâll be able to highlight your ability to design and define processes, as well as your experience of coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
đ°Salary and benefits:
ÂŁ60,000 - ÂŁ75,000 dependent upon experience
đď¸ 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays)

Location:
We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.

If we invite you to meet with us for interview, hereâs an overview of what the process will look like:
- Screening interview with someone in our Recruitment team (30 minutes).
- First stage interview with the hiring manager and another Glean colleague (1 hour).
- Final stage interview which includes a 1 hour culture and values interview, plus a 30 minute task. You will be meeting with the hiring manager and one of the Executive Team.
Ahead of your interview you will receive a confirmation email outlining who youâll be meeting and when, anything youâll need to prepare in advance and any resources we think you might find helpful.
