Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Head of Media Sales with extensive knowledge of the German market. This role requires a highly organized, dynamic, analytical, creative, and client-focused individual dedicated to maximizing media revenue and profits for our group. This role requires a strong background in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Media Sales Revenue: Focus on Digital Display, Branded Content, Sponsorship, Creative Solutions, and Programmatic/Data within the German market.

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities in the German market, develop tailored sales solutions, and present them to potential clients.

  • Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and manage relationships with Agencies, Trading Desks, independent trading desks, and other demand sources within Germany.

  • Product Sales: Sell multiple products to clients by identifying the right stakeholders for each product while maintaining a coherent product message and overall strategy.

  • Portfolio Management & Expansion: Independently build and manage a robust pipeline, accurately forecasting new business closure rates and revenue.

  • Collaborative Goal Achievement: Work closely with the Media Director to consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals.

  • Team Management: Collaborate with the Account Management team & our Global coordinator to achieve and exceed revenue goals.

  • Contract Negotiation: Manage presentations, build relationships, and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in driving media sales revenue and negotiating at a senior level within the German market.

  • Strong background in sales and business development.

  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience in structuring and negotiating deals within the media sales space.

Desirable:

  • Background in an agency or publisher environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make strategic business recommendations.

  • Previous experience in travel, technology, and/or consumer internet sectors.

Abilities and Qualities:

  • Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail.

  • Proactive team player with a collaborative spirit.

  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and an effective problem solver.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external.

  • Capable of working autonomously and independently.

  • Fluent in German and English, with a deep understanding of the German market dynamics.
