As a Designer, you will develop and deliver world class retail store environments for Endeavour Group, for their respective states, that reflect each retail brand’s strategic direction. You’ll ensure the seamless end to end design and delivery of the retail fleet of stores as the brands renew their fleet across the nation. 

The Designer will be one of the key conduits and take the lead role in managing the design process with the internal and external stakeholder team for the design delivery of projects. Driving and managing the design process and ensuring all key internal and external stakeholders are aligned is key.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:

  • Develop and manage the program of works across the delivery stream of projects for time, cost, quality and risks, with particular emphasis on ensuring design milestones, timeframes, and expectations are reasonable and are achievable, with constant review and reconfiguration as required.
  • Lead the design process for projects across the retail environment for both Dan Murphy’s and BWS, having an awareness of the requirements of each internal stakeholder group to provide comprehensive design proposals in line with the project brief and the relevant brand Format Masterplan and Blueprint. 
  • Manage the engagement of external design partners required to support the delivery of the program of works. This includes review and sign off of all design documentation for construction.
  • Lead internal design meetings and present design documentation in line with the program to the broader teams at the relevant forums including brand leadership teams as required,  setting expectations regarding deliverables and programs.
  • Manage budget alignment and enable cost-conscious design decisions.
  • Develop strong relationships with the internal stakeholder groups, in particular Build, Operations, Merchandise and Property representatives, to ensure alignment of time, cost, and quality in delivering projects.
  • Collaboration with the wider Endeavour Design Team, both the standard and Innovation teams, to proactively identify required design evolutions and input to design concepts and standards to ensure the learnings through delivery are reassessed and considered, and modified at determined stage gates where required. 
  • Attend site walks as well as design and construction meetings as required.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • 3+ years design/design management industry experience, ideally managing/leading store designs 
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Design or any related design disciplines
  • Strong Revit skillset
  • Strong design and project management skills
  • Excels in stakeholder and relationship management both internal and external
  • Retail design experience will be well regarded
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, Illustrator or similar) will be beneficial
