Job Description:
We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a dynamic social media strategy that promotes our content and actively engages our audience through creative formats like polls, interactive posts, videos, stories, and weekly digests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our editorial calendar and existing media profiles (X, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Create and schedule daily content across the mentioned platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging
- Utilize Meta Ads Manager to expand reach and engagement, optimizing campaigns based on performance data
- Curate weekly digests of tech/crypto/gaming news, trends, and discussions to keep our audience informed and engaged
- Foster community interaction by initiating and moderating conversations, polls, and user-generated content initiatives
- Track performance and adjust strategies based on analytics and user feedback
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably within a news media environment
- Demonstrable success with Meta ads and campaign optimization
- A robust portfolio showcasing successful social media projects and campaigns
- Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to produce innovative and engaging content beyond traditional posts
- Budget and campaign management
- Experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics/Looker Studio)
- Background in dealing with design teams and/or designing images for social media (Figma, Canva)
- Instagram or TikTok background as a benefit and an opportunity to grow
