The Automation Platform Team at the High Tech Campus: where it all happens.
NXP IT has great ambitions for the near future, namely: moving the R&D chip design environment to the cloud (AWS), running our IT infrastructure as code, and adopting CI/CD pipelines by all IT teams. The DevOps Automation Platform team has a central role in this, enabling 300+ IT support engineers world-wide to deliver their services fully automated, and using CI/CD pipelines.
The Automation Platform is a tool box offering, providing technologies like GitLab, Ansible, RedHat Satellite, ServiceNow and HashiCorp Vault. With these products, IT teams can take end-to-end responsibility of their services, and run them in a true Agile mindset.

Your profile
As a DevOps Engineer you will be further developing the Automation Platform as part of an Agile team. With the team, you will be responsible for improving and developing the platform further, fixing issues and supporting users of the environment.
Responsibilities:
· Design, implement and maintain infrastructure for the automation platform
· Automate the deployment process using tools like Ansible, Terraform and Python
· Monitor and optimize the performance of the automation platform
· Continuously improve processes and tools to increase efficiency and scalability
· Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
· Proactively identify and solve problems before they occur
Requirements:
· A Master or Bachelor degree with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience
· Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
· Experience working with git version control tools such as GitLab
· Strong experience with Python
· Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferrable AWS)
· Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes)
· Strong understanding of CI/CD practices
· Hands-on experience with Linux (preferably RHEL)
· Automating software build, test and integration processes
· Passion for automation and DevOps practices
· Fluent communication in English
What can you expect
Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a parttime opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
