Your missions

Overview:

As a Senior Cloud Data Warehouse Engineer at National Debt Relief, you will be the lead developer in building out a new enterprise data warehouse (EDW) on Snowflake within our AWS environment. You will be a thought leader on integrations, CI/CD pipelines, data security, and access controls, and lead efforts to curate data from Salesforce and other sources into a consolidated data platform. This hands-on individual contributor role requires a highly skilled technical expert who can design and implement robust data models, optimize and scale compute resources, and ensure cost-effective data management.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse on Snowflake within AWS.
  • Design and implement scalable data models and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including Salesforce, using Mulesoft, FiveTran or a similar platform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate data integration and deployment processes.
  • Design and implement Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG) for workflow management in data processing.
  • Implement robust data security measures and access controls to ensure data privacy and compliance.
  • Optimize the cost management of data storage and compute resources within the Snowflake environment.
  • Scale compute resources efficiently to meet varying data processing demands.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for data warehousing and data management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 7 years’ experience in data engineering or data warehouse development required, with a focus on cloud environments.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Extensive experience with both Snowflake and AWS.
  • Expert proficiency in both SQL and Python.
  • Proven experience in integrating data sources via a variety of methods including flat file & API.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflow management tools like Airflow.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data curation.
  • Knowledge of data security, access controls, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
  • Understanding of data governance and quality management practices.

Compensation Information: Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $135K-$163.5K Benefits:
