Senior WordPress IT Specialist (Malaysia)

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and WooCommerce platforms to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects related to web development and e-commerce, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to integrate functionalities that support SEO, content management, and digital marketing strategies.
• Implement and maintain high-level security measures to protect websites and online stores against cyber threats.
• Monitor website and e-commerce performance, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve issues affecting site speed, responsiveness, and overall health.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress, WooCommerce, and web development, recommending and implementing new tools and practices to drive efficiency and competitiveness.
• Manage and optimize hosting environments, including server configuration, database management, and backups.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, offering timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers, coordinating tasks and managing relationships to support project objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on WordPress and WooCommerce development and maintenance.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, with a deep understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and customization techniques.
• Experience in managing IT projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with SEO principles, digital marketing tools, and content management strategies.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.
