Position Title: Sr. Telecom Billing Specialist

Position Description: The Senior Telecom Billing Specialist will provide essential support to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of their Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) initiative. You will play a key role in managing telecommunications billing, inventory, and budget tracking, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the effective management of healthcare services at a national level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Billing and Financial Management:
• Analyze and reconcile large monthly billing invoices.
• Identify, track, and resolve billing discrepancies, including overbilling, underbilling, and duplicate billing.
• Manage Verizon credits, billing adjustments, and back billing.
• Develop and maintain detailed inventory and cost files.
• Provide funding projections and recommend cost-saving measures.

• Contractual Issues:
• Track and identify billing issues, such as incorrect CLINs and missed SLAs.
• Document and escalate billing errors and equipment discrepancies.

• Ordering and Inventory Management:
• Track government ordering, inventory, and billing records.
• Monitor service orders and develop accurate inventory files.

• Pricing Requests and Contract Modifications:
• Participate in reviews of contract modifications affecting financial management responsibilities.
• Manage Pricing Requests (PRs) and Contract Modifications (MODs) files for inventory and cost tracking.

• Other Support Tasks:
• Provide ad-hoc reports related to fund expenditure tracking.
• Act as a liaison between Verizon ordering teams and CMS COR to resolve credit issues and order discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and telecom billing.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with CMS and service providers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and financial management software.
• Familiarity with government contracting and billing practices is a plus.
• Experience with telecom data analysis, inventory management, and invoice validation is highly desirable.

This position is fully remote, allowing the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. Please note, due to the requirements of this contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs, candidates must reside in the U.S. and work may not be performed from outside the country.
