Movies & TV Mini-Feature Writer

Our editorial team is looking for writers to create fun, informative, and engaging Movie & TV Mini-Features that our discerning audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave. The selected candidate will have tremendous career growth and internal development opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications 

• A passion for movies, television, writing, and a drive to grow within the industry 
• Broad working knowledge of Movies & TV
  • Including Disney, MCU, DCU, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror genres, Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon, Rings of Power, Breaking Bad, The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, Invincible, Sitcoms, and animated series
• Up to date with new movies and shows 
• The ability to analyze content and pull directly from the source material to back up claims 
• A sharp eye for grammatical details 
• Excellent command of the English language 
• Ability to write high-quality articles with swift turn-around times 
• Comfortable working in an entirely virtual environment 
• Should possess a general understanding of comics culture and strong research skills

Responsibilities 

• Write a minimum of 5 Mini-Features (700 words) per week in CBR’s house style (following the requisite training) 
• This will include fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing/very basic editing (sizing, brightness, etc.) 
• Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas that’ll be published on-site
• Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
• Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
