About This Role

We have an exciting and challenging career opportunity on our HRIS team. This role will provide the right candidate with exposure to a variety of areas within the HR department, as well as the ability to build deep technical skills in administering our Workday HCM platform. The primary purpose and function of the Lead HRIS Analyst is to act as the Workday technical subject matter expert, provide HR system administration and support, and lead Workday HR system configuration, enhancement, and deployment efforts. Additionally, this individual will serve as the liaison between internal business teams and 3rd party vendors for system integrations, enhancements, and issue fixes. This role will report to the Director, HRIS.

What You Will Lead/Do or Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced configuration and technical support of various Workday modules including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, and Onboarding.

  • Lead projects to optimize Workday module utilization, simplify processes, and improve data accuracy.

  • Partner with various business areas across the organization to determine HR technology priorities and ensure alignment with department and company goals.

  • Recommend process improvements, providing innovative suggestions and solutions as well as downstream impacts.

  • Provide advanced technical support, oversight, and training for the HRIS team.

  • Provide Tier 2 employee support on inquiries via ticketing system, including technology assistance, issue remediation, and escalation management. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define security roles, access controls, and permission sets, ensuring the appropriate level of data security and segregation of duties. 

  • Design, build, and maintain Workday dashboards and advanced custom reports in partnership with stakeholders.

  • Create EIB templates, upload, and perform subsequent audits to ensure data accuracy.

  • Lead Workday releases, which includes taking inventory and presenting new release functionality to stakeholders, conducting Regression testing, and project managing UAT.

  • Partner closely with IT to support Workday interfaces, including troubleshooting issues with vendors and internal IT teams as necessary.

  • Troubleshoot issues independently and resourcefully through the use of external and internal resources.

  • Maintain awareness of emerging technology trends and innovative solutions to encourage process automation, support optimization, and inspire technology simplification in a fast-paced organization.

Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, HR management, business administration, or related.

  • 8+ years of prior HRIS experience.

  • Proficiency in Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Absence, and Time Tracking modules.

  • Deep knowledge of Workday calc fields, business processes, EIBs, advanced reporting, security, and integrations.

  • Experience with project management or leading projects.

  • Working knowledge of all core hire-to-retire HR processes.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to effectively exercise critical thinking to solution issues.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively present technical and functional information in a manner that is understandable to all levels of the organization.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
