We are seeking for an IT Security Officer who will be responsible for safeguarding our software products and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems. This role involves implementing and maintaining robust security measures, responding to security incidents, and working closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into our software development lifecycle.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Security Operations:
    • Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.
    • Monitor security alerts and incidents, and coordinate response efforts to contain and remediate threats.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
  • Policy and Procedure Development:
    • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Conduct security awareness training for employees and promote a culture of security throughout the organization.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Provide security guidance and support during the design and implementation of new products and features.
    • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure secure configuration and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.
  • Incident Response and Recovery:
    • Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, documentation, and reporting of security incidents.
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Risk Management:
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to manage and mitigate security risks.
    • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively implement measures to protect against them.


You're the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT security, preferably within a software development or fintech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryption.
  • Experience with cloud security, particularly in AWS Cloud environments
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Are highly desirable.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with secure coding practices and tools (e.g., static and dynamic code analysis).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Understanding of fintech industry-specific security challenges and regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
