POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising and managing all activities required for the funding of mortgage loans and associated tasks.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Manage and oversee the funding team, consisting of funders and funding assistants.
  • Supervise duties and tasks and review/update procedures to assure quality in accuracy and customer service for funded loans, as well as quality for post funding activities.
  • Perform post-funding file reviews as needed for adherence with procedures.
  • Perform evaluations and employee reviews as appropriate and prescribed by the company.
  • Responsible for management of the funding pipeline to advise management and funders of upcoming funding volume and situations.
  • Review pipeline for Service Level Agreement compliance with current procedures.
  • Review and evaluate any loan issues and provide guidance to funders on appropriate actions and solutions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with funders to go over new programs, regulations and current volume, ideas for workflow improvement and procedures, along with team-building conversations and activities.
  • Take on funder role for specialty and new loan programs to establish procedures and to stay up to date with changes in systems.
  • Partner and meet with Loan Servicing teams to review procedures and make sure funded files provide accurate and efficient date for loans to be boarded into our Loan Servicing system.
  • Partner and meet with Home Lending Operations managers to review ideas, changes, volume levels and ways to keep and improve procedures for excellent customer service to Home Lending and outside customers.
  • Partner with Post Closing team(s) for assistance with insuring, shipping and purchasing of loans once they are funded.
  • Partner with loan officers as the primary liaison between borrowers, their representatives, attorneys, title companies, insurance representatives, and other parties tied to the home lending transaction.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Mortgage banking experience preferred with the markets served by 1st Security Bank.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional customer service orientation. Customer may be internal employee or external customer.

  • Must demonstrate a high level of organization, attention to detail, and thoroughness.

  • Knowledge of mortgage banking procedures including an understanding of loan processing.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and best practices.

  • Strong information management, organization, planning and detail orientation.

  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability; ability to multi-task, manage stress and meet deadlines.

  • Professional personal presentation; proper manners, etiquette.

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

  • Must be bondable.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other Database software. Solid word processing and computer database skills with accurate keyboarding at 60+ wpm.
