Job description

Your missions

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our company by providing insightful analysis, maintaining robust financial controls, and leveraging your expertise in Xero to optimize our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting in Xero.
Oversee the entire accounting cycle within Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
Reconcile wholesale cost of various services with vendor invoices in Xero and our billing platform.
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using Xero.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial budget and forecast model within Xero.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful financial commentary to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls, particularly leveraging Xero's functionalities.
Maintain strong working relationships with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to ensure alignment and support business objectives.
Train and mentor junior finance team members.

Must-haves:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role.
Extensive experience using Xero, including advanced features and functionality.
Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
With Xero certification or Xero advisor accreditation.
Experience in the telecommunications industry.
Proven track record of implementing financial process improvements.

Nice-to-have:

Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems and integrations.
Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
Advanced data analysis skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
