GENERAL PURPOSE:  
As Director of Partner Relationships, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our partner program. You will be responsible for driving partner sales, and providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help team excel. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our partner network, increase revenue, and foster strong relationships with key partners. 

Partner Success Program Management
  • As the Director of Partner Relationships, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing relationships with our channel partners to drive sales and revenue. Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Identifying and Onboarding New Partners: Overseeing the Partner Success Manager, you’ll drive the strategy around seeking out and onboarding new channel partners, ensuring they have the resources and support needed for success. 
  • Support and Training: You’ll provide ongoing support and training to partners, helping them navigate our products and services effectively. 
  • Performance Management: Monitoring the performance of existing partners, you’ll collaborate with them to enhance their sales and revenue strategies. 
  • Relationship Building: Cultivating strong relationships with partners, you’ll work closely to achieve mutual goals and align efforts with our sales team. 
  • Market Awareness: Staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions, you’ll adapt strategies accordingly. 
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: You’ll create and manage channel partner budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation. 
  • Program Development: Implementing channel partner programs (such as training and marketing initiatives), you’ll drive engagement and growth. 
  • Performance Metrics: Regularly measuring and reporting on partner performance using metrics like sales and revenue. 
  • Conflict Resolution: Addressing conflicts and challenges within the channel, you’llmaintain a positive working relationship. 
  • Product Knowledge: Providing partners with guidance on our product offerings and solutions. 
  • Industry Networking: Attending industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote our company. 
  • Additionally, you will work closely with the CMO on event strategy, with the Events Coordinator to report to you. Your role will focus primarily on fostering the relationships we continue to build with trade associations through their event and sponsorship opportunities, as well as helping build and drive the strategy around events and channel partner prospecting at industry events. A key component will also be planning and managing partner-specific events hosted by Mantis.  

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven track record of success in partner sales, business development, or channel management 
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower team members to achieve their full potential. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners at all levels. 
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and initiatives. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other relevant sales tools and technologies. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or relevant experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Industry experience preferred, e.g. energy efficiency, retail energy, electricity markets (PJM, ERCOT, etc), facilities services, sustainability.

  • Employs a consultative selling approach to market products to Sales Partners. 
  • Thinks creatively to identify new Sales Partners, products, and sources of revenue as well as provide recommendations to the organization. 
  • Determines customer needs, prepares, and presents proposals, recommends best product solution based on needs. 
  • Strong business development leadership skills. 
  • Proficient in lead generation, prospecting, qualification, and opportunity cultivation. 
  • Strong interpersonal and group presentation skills. 
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. 
  • Leadership skill to support & promote teamwork environment. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work highly effectively with minimal supervision/remote management. 
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills (phone, email, and in person) 
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity 
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
