What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to work in the definition, implementation and future operation of a world-wide product from scratch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting and implementing solutions involving microservices and event-driven architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate requirements in the light of the business context and goals. Assist in the definition of an Architecture roadmap, prioritizing the solutions to be developed;
- Design the microservices architecture;
- Design and implement the service mesh architecture;
- Design and implement the event-driven architecture (Kafka). Work hands on in configuring and managing Kafka for this product
- Work with the team on the integration between the architectural solution and the Internal Developer Platform. Ensure seamless integration of various components and services within the IDP;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the architecture, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and best practices;
- Provide guidance and supervision for the software architects and software development teams;
- Ensure solutions match the overall reference architecture, architectural building blocks and non-functional requirements to provide a structure for project outputs;
- Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of the platform.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- English level: B2 or higher;
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Software Architect or similar role;
- Extensive experience with microservices architecture using service mesh (e.g., Istio, Cilium) and API gateways;
- Solid understanding of Kafka architecture and experience in using Kafka;
- Strong awareness of Kafka ecosystem, Zookeeper, Kafka cluster, Kafka broker, producer, consumer, Connectors, different APIs, Kafka Topic etc;
- Strong awareness on designing deployment architecture for Kafka solutions;
- Solid hands on Kafka deployment and configuration;
- Experience with AWS services;
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with security best practices and tools for cloud-native applications;
- Familiarity with observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana);
- Previous experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP);
- Experience with Agile methodologies;
- If you have any familiarity with .NET/C# technologies, that would be nice too.
