As a Leader in our Talent Technology PMO, you will play a crucial role in driving project management excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic and cross functional projects across the Talent organization. This role requires a strong, dynamic leader who will help stand up an effective project management operation within the Talent Technology group at RSM.  This role will be responsible for helping design effective project intake, prioritization and delivery methodologies.  The leader in this role will help us by providing visibility into capacity and capability planning.  They will also be responsible for creating the frameworks that help the Talent Technology manage and deliver projects to our Talent COE’s and the enterprise.  As part of standing up this function, this role will provide guidance, support, and leadership to ensure effective hiring and staffing of project managers.   

Project Portfolio Management

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio, including project charters, project plans and resource allocations.

• Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and best practices

• Prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability and business impact

• Regularly review the project portfolio and make recommendations for optimization and resource reallocation

Project Management Oversight

• Provide oversight and guidance to project managers throughout the project lifecycle

• Review project plans, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with project objectives

• Assist Project Managers to identify and resolve project issues, risks and conflicts

Resource Management

• Manage project resource allocation and capacity planning

• Optimize resource utilization across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity

• Partner the Talent Technology Leadership team and COE leaders to align project management resources according to required skills and expertise

Stakeholder Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Talent ELT, project sponsors and cross functional teams

• Support escalation of risks and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment

• Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution among stakeholders

Project Portfolio Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Establish and maintain project management metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and project delivery

• Prepare status reports and executive summaries for Talent Technology and Senior Talent Leadership.

• Review post-project lessons learned to identify opportunities for improvement

Training and Development

• Develop and deliver project management training programs, workshops, and resources for project managers

• Mentor and coach project managers to enhance their project management skills and capabilities

• Foster a culture of learning, development, collaboration, and innovation within the PMO

• Facilitate the integration of project management best practices into the GP organizational culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management or a related field

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent

• Proven experience in project management, with at least 5 years' experience in a leadership or manager role within a PMO

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Experience in resource management, capacity planning and project portfolio management

• Excellent problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira etc.)

• Familiar with Agile, Scrum development methodologies

• Experience with change management methodologies and tools highly desired

• Demonstrate ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives.

• Experience in the technology or talent management sectors

Compensation Range: $142,800 - $253,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
