Senior QA Engineer

About the team:

FIS Front Arena is a leading global provider of financial software. We build systems for financial trading, risk management and position control, and support the whole process from sell-side to buy-side, front-to-back.

What you will be doing:

• Creating and maintaining automated test scripts

• Preparing and executing test plans along with all other aspects of software testing

• Identifying, logging and tracking of software defects

• Mentor junior colleagues

• Continuously improve QA Processes’ and Standards

• Interpret functional requirements and translate them into test requirements

• Analyzing complex platform problems

• Working on designing and implementing CI pipeline testing stages

What you bring:

• Agile Software Methodology Experience

• Understands software development life cycle process and various testing techniques including a proficiency in system testing

• Good knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages or test management tools (Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, TestRail, Jira,...)

• Relational Database Knowledge – SQL

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SSH

• Experience with CI testing stages

• Linux fundamentals (Command line navigation and basic features, file system, permissions, networking, etc.)

• Windows (Permissions, services, file system, Event Viewer, etc.)

Added bonus if you have experience:

• With financial markets, equity and fixed income securities and related back office processing

• With communication protocols for exchange of securities transaction information (i.e. Financial Information Exchange - FIX protocol)

• ISTQB certified or higher desirable
