Join our dynamic team as we seek dedicated individuals to fulfil the pivotal role of Compliance Administrator. Reporting directly to the Compliance Officer, this role is essential in ensuring meticulous adherence to the regulatory framework set forth by the Central Bank of eSwatini.

As a Compliance Administrator, you will play a vital role in monitoring and scrutinizing daily transactions, identifying potential compliance issues, and facilitating prompt resolution or escalation as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):

Record Keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain records of all submitted reports and applications to the regulator.
  • Download transactional data submitted by the Compliance Assistant and ensure proper storage for easy retrieval.
  • Maintain records of Suspicious Transactions and Cash Threshold Reports exclusively accessible to the Compliance Administrator.
  • Archive applications submitted to the regulator and keep approved applications for future reference.

Transaction Integration and Error Resolution:

  • Perform daily transaction balancing and rectify transactions that fail revalidation.
  • Address errors related to the integration of Valtari and the CBEs CBFETR System.
  • Ensure all transaction errors are resolved promptly and conduct weekly transaction reconciliation.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to developers as necessary.

CTR Reporting:

  • Compile Currency Transaction Report (CTR) submissions for review and submission by the Compliance Officer.
  • Monitor trends in CTR reporting to identify any anomalies or patterns.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Coordinate compliance projects across departments from initiation to completion.
  • Share project information with relevant external departments and gather input from department heads.

Internal Tracking and Analysis:

  • Track task completion to ensure adherence to standards and timelines.
  • Analyze trends and typologies related to compliance activities for continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary education (degree/diploma) (Essential and a Tertiary qualification in Business or Economics is an added advantage
  • 3years experience (Essential) in financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Mukuru system
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and project within the department.
  • Ability to identify areas requiring attention in relation of compliance.
  • Knowledge of reporting any suspicious or fraudulent activities
  • Ability to collect information and data
  • Ability to conduct checks on KYC/CDD/EDD
