Join Hempel to experience this unique opportunity as a POEM Distribution Account Manager to bridge the gap between customer expectations and efficient supply chain operations, ensuring that our products reach our customers when and where they need them.

Here's some of the other things to look forward to:
  • Implement a strategy with the distributor to pinpoint end-users and conduct joint visits aimed at promoting and selling Hempel products and services.
  • Maintain customer relationships by consistently engaging with them to comprehend their needs and pinpoint potential business opportunities.
  • Apply a strong comprehension and technical expertise in liquid coating applications to collaborate with customers on enhancing coating properties and performance.
  • Work with distributor representatives to schedule weekly calls at either distributor’s stores and/or end-use locations ensuring follow-up and response to customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Promotes effective communication and suggests tactics to bolster the distributor's future growth.
  • Set up and uphold inventory levels aligned with working capital objectives by tracking the entirety of inventory, excess or discontinued items, to enhance inventory efficiency.
  • Support tinting operations to ensure minimal errors and color accuracy.
  • Use CRM to handle customer accounts.
  • Responsible for expenditures and facilitating customer hospitality events.

What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • Open to travel, particularly concentrating on the Southeastern region of the United States.
  • Must possess the capacity to strategize and carry out significant projects, as well as to analyze problems and devise short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance in resolving complicated issues, fostering collaboration and a positive attitude among employees.
  • Must have the transformative mentality to view the corporation as a whole, so that the various systems work together to accomplish management goals.
  • Build and sustain positive working rapport with store personnel at the distributor's location.
  • Readiness to accept new technology for improvement.
  • Capability to handle information and merchandise through computer systems and POS (Point of Sale) terminals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Preferred qualifications include 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager in a Paint or Supply store, with expertise in tinting and/or color matching. Experience with industrial paints and tinting is advantageous.
  • Must be willing and able to work different shifts as well as occasional weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English is required.
  • Applicants must possess and consistently maintain a valid driver's license.
