Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Developing a clear vision, strategy and roadmap that ensures our users’ voices are at the heart of our product development process
  • Building a team of engineers, designers and data scientists to deliver on this roadmap
  • Becoming the in-house product expert on all things user feedback and insights
  • Exploring new and innovative methods for collecting different kinds of user feedback and insights from our 180m+ MAUs
  • Owning the end-to-end in-product experiences for engaging with users to gather insights, and connect these to backend operations and services
  • Working closely with teams across the business to ensure our users’ voices are heard, finding effective and impactful ways to influence roadmaps

You're probably a match if

  • You have extensive experience in a product management role, developing product strategies and delivering roadmaps with cross-functional teams
  • You have experience working in Voice of Customer or User Insights programs, or at least a passion for advocating for users across the business to drive meaningful change
  • You have a solid history of collaborating effectively with other stakeholders to influence roadmaps and prioritise product improvements based on user feedback
  • You have experience starting teams from scratch to explore new and ambiguous problem spaces, quickly understanding the landscape and requirements and prioritising projects and initiatives that have the biggest impact
  • You have experience in managing and integrating third-party solutions into in-product experiences and in-house tooling

About the team

The Insights and User Advocacy group sits within the User Voice supergroup and is responsible for amplifying our users’ voices throughout the rest of Canva. Some of the ways we do this is through collecting and analysing user feedback through various channels, including support tickets, social media feedback and in-product surveys. We then work with teams around the business to understand, prioritise and action this feedback. The new User Insights Product team will be responsible for finding optimal and innovative ways to ensure our users’ voices are heard across all key moments of their Canva journey.

What's in it for you?

Achieving our crazy big goals motivates us to work hard - and we do - but you'll experience lots of moments of magic, connectivity and fun woven throughout life at Canva, too. We also offer a range of benefits to set you up for every success in and outside of work.
