This is a hybrid role but national travel is also required.

To plan and deliver effective logistic operations across the MRFs and PRF’s.  Managing and monitoring all haulage movements via a diverse 3rd party network for inbound & outbound material nationwide, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistic providers, transportation companies and customers.

  • Plan and manage logistics across the MRFs & PRF’s while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
  • Financial management of all haulage spend – including fuel escalators & rate negotiations with 3rd party suppliers as well as reviewing weekly transport costs & target cost/efficiency improvements through planning/ tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts across the scope of operations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all concerned in the logistic process and internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate administration of in-house systems & produce key business reports for the wider team and clients (Haulage Tracker / CO2 / PowerBI Reports / Inbound / Outbound Planners / Contract Data).
  • Attend client review meetings and support commercial team with tender submissions.
  • Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against established SLA’s and company criteria.
  • Ensure all 3rd party duty of care documentation is in line with legislation and monitor / audit 3rd party haulier performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Working with Site/Operations Managers understand requirements, demands and potential impacts on delivery of targets.
  • Identify optimal transport modes, routes and frequency and review weekly with business units.

  • Experience using Power BI
  • Full UK driving license
  • Implementation of new processes and developments
  • Experience of working with a 24/7 multi-site operation.
