Your missions

Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

This role includes performing monthly validations of SAP data against controls, preparing and analyzing financial statements, various reports, and financial records for assigned books of business or companies; preparing, processing, and validating recurring and miscellaneous accounting entries (journals/payments); reconciling control and corresponding general ledger accounts, identifying adjustments and corrective actions, and preparing supporting documentation; maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers and records for assigned companies and performing additional assigned duties, such as documenting procedures, approvals, and other internal control documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strongly preferred.
  • Work experience: 1-3 years
  • Schedule: PST (flexible)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Balancing to reconciliation/controls - intermediate

  • Accounting Practices and Financial Regulatory Environment - advanced

  • SAP - entry level (1-3 years)

Responsibilities:

  • The Property & Casualty team function is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and release of the monthly underwriting results by book, state, accident year, and other parameters. In addition, the function is also responsible for the preparation and review of multiple balance sheet account reconciliations every month. Other duties performed include supporting various business functions by providing additional information and analysis and working with business unit and IT functions to efficiently and successfully implement projects.
