We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Art Director with exceptional design chops to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and visual communication and a keen eye for detail, combined with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. As the Senior Art Director, you will lead the creative direction of brand assignments and campaigns, ensuring they are visually compelling, strategically sound, and aligned with our clients' goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Creative Leadership: Lead the visual direction of all creative projects, from concept through execution, (design through delivery) ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, designers, account managers, project managers and clients to develop innovative and effective campaign ideas.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Brand Development: Develop and maintain branding and brand guidelines for clients, ensuring all creative work aligns with their brand identity and messaging.
  • Art Direction: Provide art direction for a variety of media including print, digital, video, and social media, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach.
  • Client Interaction: Present creative concepts and campaigns to clients, articulating the rationale behind design choices and addressing feedback constructively.
  • Team Development: Mentor and inspire junior designers and creative team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep our creative work at the forefront of the market.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an art director role within an advertising or PR agency, with a focus on pharmaceutical or healthcare clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including design, branding and campaigns for pharma or healthcare clients.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and other relevant design software. Adobe XD and Figma is A+. Knowledge of video production and editing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements for pharmaceutical advertising and communication.
  • Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into visually engaging content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $70K-$110K. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
