Maximo Functional Administrator

Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months

Description:
The Facilities Application unit in the Office of Physical Plant is seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Asset Management “IBM: Maximo” functional administrator.
Other EAM services we provide and maintain include the Scheduling Software (Akwire), external customer interface (EZRequest), mobile application (EZMaxMobile), and data visualization software (Propel).
This person will ensure the integrity of the application and data and provide guidance and expertise to users and stakeholders that supports the strategic business plan.
Act as liaison between functional users, IT staff, and external business partners/consultants, and translate Enterprise Asset Management business requirements into technical specifications to support on-going initiatives across client.
May evaluate new applications for evolving business needs and help define and identify system requirements, including design, testing, and training.
Will assist in developing and overseeing the implementation of solutions to highly complex and often controversial problems that may have University-wide impact and establish new precedents for solving problems.
The employee often works independently on highly complex and strategic assignments, yet integrated participation with several multi-disciplined teams is required.

Work Duties
Assist the Office of Physical Plant in completing EAM initiatives within Maximo (e.g., expand Maximo usage as commonwealth campuses, upgrade to MAS 8.x, etc.)
Contribute to daily check in and review meetings; Implement, review progress, and evaluate results on complex work assignments.
Assist in analyzing and evaluating requirements and/or vendor proposals for related work.
Contribute to work breakdown structures for various tasks and project work.
Develop appropriate means of timely and effective communication throughout each task or initiative being worked on.
Adhere to proper documentation through Service Requests and/or project artifacts on SharePoint.
Meet with various customers to analyze needs, design, document detailed requirements, and develop technical solutions.
Assist with incoming day-to-day operational issues and/or questions from end users.
Document current processes to assist new users with adopting Maximo.

Education & Experience
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher plus 5 years or more of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
