Description

As the Director of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of Fortis Solutions Group's strategic marketing initiatives. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention, contributing significantly to our company's growth and success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns across diverse channels, ensuring our market leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy, focusing on brand positioning, messaging, and target audience identification to drive market leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, sales, and other teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, market trends, and consumer insights, informing marketing strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret market data for short- and long-term strategy, communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Manage and optimize marketing budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, content marketing, events, and traditional advertising.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Content Development: Drive the creation of compelling content, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, videos, and other marketing collateral.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead Generation: Manage BDRs to drive lead generation using outreach and nurture tools, measuring effectiveness with metrics/KPIs.
  • Market Planning: Develop a comprehensive calendar of marketing initiatives that aligns with the company's strategic goals and timelines. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all marketing activities are scheduled and integrated seamlessly.
  • Resource Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive calendar of marketing initiatives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
  • Additional duties as required.

Metrics/KPI Measurement:

  • MGO (Marketing Generated Opportunities)/ MQL (Marketing Qualified Leads)
  • MIO (Marketing Influenced Opportunities)/ SQL (Sales Qualified Leads)
  • BDR – Top of Funnel - Metrics/KPI’s outlined in the BDR job description. BDR’s are measured on meetings held and opportunities converted.
  • ROI/ROMI/ROAS - Marketing events, SEO, SEM, CAC, Conversion Rate, CPL (Cost Per Lead), CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), CLV (Customer Lifetime Value).
  • Fortis Solutions Group is a private equity-backed company with growth goals to scale from $400M+ to $1B   
Qualifications

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role, with a track record of driving successful marketing campaigns and achieving business objectives.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of various marketing channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, events, and traditional advertising.
  • Proficient in market research and competitor analysis techniques to identify market opportunities and consumer insights.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and CRM software. Experience with Salesforce is a preference.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of marketing communications managers and BDRs.

Training Requirements:

  • Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting, sitting, standing, crouching, repetitive office tasks.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety shoes and eye protection are highly recommended when working in the production areas.

Travel requirements:

  • This position will require occasional travel, up to 25% annually.
