Your missions

Job Summary

Our team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all user facing services, production systems, and development environments. As a TechOps Engineer with a focus on security, you will play a critical role in maintaining our infrastructure securely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborating with the Security and Compliance teams to remediate findings and ensure compliance.
Updating and patching Venmo's infrastructure manually or through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Designing new procedures and workflows to deliver services in a controlled and safe manner.
Managing tasks such as certificates rotation, secrets monitoring, resource management via tagging, upgrading dependencies,and software hardening.
Ensuring PCI compliance within the infrastructure.
Implementing networking and access restrictions for improved security.
Identifying cost saving initiatives without compromising system integrity.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field of study.
5+ years of experience in software development or related fields.
1+ years of experience operating distributed applications 24x7x365 as part of DevOps or SRE team. Quick learning ability to contribute within weeks and onboard to on call duties within several months.
Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing,and supporting infrastructure for globalscale services.
Hands On experience with IaaSand PaaS solutions from AWSor similar cloud providers.
Hands On programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, Bash,and Go.
Handson experience with containers and container orchestration technologies like Dockerand Kubernetes.
Experience with AWS services such as EKS, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, GitHub Actions, DataDog.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams.
