Job description

Your missions

We are looking for a Packaging Development Expert to join the team at one of our most valued clients, a Big 4 consultancy, supporting a target architecture definition project for a German client in the packaging industry.

The successful candidate will integrate into the consultancy's team and work directly with the end client, providing subject matter expertise to support the project.

Type of job: Contract / freelance

Working hours: Part-time (20 hours / week), negotiable depending on candidate availability

Duration: Mid July - Early Sep 2024 with option of further extensions

Location: Remote

Key activities

Prepare, participate, document and follow-up on a 6-week project to define target architecture for the packaging organisation
Provide an outside-in view on architectures in other companies
Collect requirements for future ready, digital system landscape for the packaging organisation
Compare collected requirements to existing solutions and identify gaps and overlaps
Prepare and propose potential architectural scenarios
Direct customer contact as a trusted advisor
Attend workshops in Düsseldorf if possible (optional)

Requirements

Resident in and unrestricted right to work in the EU or UK
Fluent in English
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the area of packaging development and digitalisation
Functional experience in the areas of packaging specification management (raw materials, as well as primary, secondary and tertiary packaging), 3D visualisation (CAD), packaging regulations
Knowledge of existing packaging software solutions for design, technical development and specification management (e.g. Onshape) in an SAP-driven environment
Track record in at least one of these industries: consumer goods, chemical or life science
Good understanding of key processes within product development, upstream and downstream
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Strong team player

Ideal (but not essential)

Experience working with large consultancies
Deutschkenntnisse
Travel readiness to Düsseldorf
