Salary: $50,600 to $59,000 annually

Location: Remote; any location in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zone with a major airport

Position Summary:

Points of Light’s Corporate Activation team partners with companies of all sizes and across industries and locations to advance their social impact outcomes and engage employees and customers in meaningful civic engagement. Partners include companies like American Express, Fidelity, AbbVie, CarMax, Lowe’s and many more.

The Manager, Corporate Activation is responsible for scoping and planning employee engagement programs for corporate partners, managing delivery across multiple markets in collaboration with local Points of Light Network delivery partners, administering contracts and payment processes, identifying creative solutions to local challenges, and delivering program evaluation and reporting. 

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial problem solver who has a passion for social change, belief in the power of the private sector to contribute to community change, and experience developing and delivering results. 

Position Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Account and Program Management
    • Serve as lead project manager for an assigned portfolio of corporate employee activation partnerships. Oversee thorough and accurate project scoping, planning, budgets, recruitment, execution, and reporting.
    • Identify opportunities to expand engagement and impact with corporate partners and provide recommendations to Points of Light development colleagues. 
  • Stakeholder and Project Management
    • Manage employee activation project delivery across multiple markets through Points of Light’s network, including corporate relationship management, local partner onboarding, agreement and grants administration, and project monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
    • Oversee nonprofit organization partner selection and project development in local markets and ensure alignment with corporate partner focus areas and values. 
    • Provide regular status reports to corporate contacts, including project implementation updates, progress toward program goals, and management of issues/risks.
    • Manage and steward Points of Light relationships with network affiliates and lead communications for corporate partnerships.
    • Provide support and technical assistance in response to network affiliate requests for corporate activation best practices, resources and/or connections.
  • Fiscal Oversight and Budgeting
    • Oversee budget management and financial controls for assigned portfolio, including approval processes for project budgets/payments and administration of subgrants.

  • Experience in project planning, implementation, and budget management
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently from kickoff through implementation, evaluation and reporting
  • Strong project management, time management and personal workflow skills, including:
    • ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
    • ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
    • ability to think analytically
    • excellent organizational skills; precision and strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills across different cultures, levels within organizations and departments, and corporate and nonprofit sectors
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and international awareness; experience living and/or working in non-US environments is a bonus
  • Deep sense of empathy, passion for social change and creativity in addressing social issues
  • Comfort working within an occasionally ambiguous and rapidly changing environment 

Requirements:                                  

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with corporate or nonprofit volunteer management
  • Comfort working with different technologies including Salesforce, YourCause, Benevity, Asana, Microsoft Excel, and other technology/project management systems
  • Some non-traditional hours for early morning and/or late evening calls are an expectation of this role given that we work across global time zones 
  • Travel is not expected to exceed 10% of the time
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, and a commitment to promoting equity in all aspects of the workplaces
