Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

As the Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consultant, you will play a key role in operationalizing and scaling Moneris’ DEI strategy and delivering on some of the highest priority initiatives within the DEI roadmap. Reporting into, and working closely with, the Director, DEI, you will lead and implement initiatives including DEI data governance, mentorship and sponsorship, DEI enterprise events, and supporting equity-centered initiatives aimed at making systemic-level change across Moneris.

Location: While we are open to hire anywhere in Canada for this role, should you be located near one of our office locations (Burnaby, BC, Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON, Sackville, NB), you will work in a hybrid work environment. Otherwise, the role will be entirely remote.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to our Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Salary range: $61,000 to $97,000 per annum.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

Lead and Manage DEI Mentorship and Sponsorship Initiatives

Build, lead, and execute, end-to-end all aspects of the strategy and planning related to mentorship and sponsorship at Moneris, liaising with various cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally. 

Manage DEI Data Governance Initiatives

​​​Own, maintain and grow Self-Identification campaigns and develop DEI data governance protocol and standards in partnership with the HRIS team. Support the execution and analysis of Moneris’ DEI surveys. Leverage DEI data to complete all reporting preparations and submissions for the Federal Contractors Program (FCP) audit every 3 years. 

DEI Educator Lead and Advisor

Develop content and facilitate DEI training (i.e. e-learning and virtual and in-person workshops), conduct Listening activities with team members, and work to be a trusted DEI advisor to individual contributors and Team Leads and Managers.  

Subject Matter Expert and DEI Events Lead

Bringing a complexity and depth of DEI and anti-racism knowledge and lived experience to owning and delivering on key initiatives on Moneris’ DEI roadmap. This would include end-to-end planning, content development and delivery of DEI Discussion gatherings and DEI enterprise events (educate, connect and facilitate) to raise awareness and scale the accountability and engagement of DEI across the enterprise to all team members. 

Support Director, DEI on systemic change initiatives

Provide support to Director, DEI on large-scale cross-functional initiatives that entail liaising with various stakeholders e.g. inclusive hiring, Indigenizing hiring, performance management enhancements, DEI leadership competencies, etc.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Social Sciences (open to other connected disciplines).

  • 7+ years of experience working in the equity and inclusion, social justice or human development space as a program manager, managing multiple projects from research, development through to execution.

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal).

  • Strong writing and facilitation skills, attention to detail and prioritization skills amidst a mixed portfolio of projects and initiatives.

  • Trusted relationship builder who can work with a multitude of personality types at all levels of an organization.

  • Self-leadership is a must, meaning you think proactively, initiate without being asked and are self-empowered to jump in and get things done.

  • Demonstrated experience being active in the DEI space with an interest for ongoing learning to grow knowledge and embedding that knowledge into all aspects of this role.

  • Agile mindset – you operate with high levels of self-awareness and social-emotional agility, always open to unlearning and learning, receiving, and giving feedback and adapting to inevitable changes and challenges.

Nice-to-have...

  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution.

  • Project management and partnership development experience.

  • Fluency in French is strongly desired and is prioritized.

  • Experience with Self-Identification programs is an asset.
