What you’ll be doing...

Your mission will be to help us properly mine raw data and support key insight propagation that informs decision making across Verizon Business Group.  You’ll be analyzing data and creating data visualizations that drive business action. Working across the company, you’ll use your analytical and visualization expertise to identify trends, issues and opportunities, all with the goal of improving the customer experience and finding ways to make our business even better.

You will partner with other internal teams to provide business intelligence through identifying the right data, conducting research and analyses, and providing insights to make recommendations and guide decision making. Plus, you’ll come up with the best ways to share the data in dashboards, presentations, and written reports to suit the need and the audience.

  • Supporting data analytics for the Digital and Customer experience team, working to organize data and present it in a manner that is easily interpreted and can be actioned.  Adept at working with multiple sources of data and identifying the best way to connect data sets.   
  • Crafting results presentations and regular communications for senior management that provide key business insights.  Customize each presentation specific to audiences based on background and knowledge of data presented.
  • Mining media, customer journey, and lead data to highlight performance and opportunities for improvement.  Responsible for turning raw data into logical information for reporting, dash boarding, and visualization. 
  • Identifying areas for improvement, incorporating best-in-class and cutting-edge reporting techniques, and crafting new approaches and methodologies.  Ability to obtain data, execute reporting and analysis, perform interpretations and conclusions, and prepare recommendations.
  • Working across the Digital Analytics team to track key project milestones and drive towards implementation of strategies.
  • Collaborating with your product group to understand business needs and staying up to date on all the product initiatives and plans.
  • Analyzing data and clearly communicating findings to partners.
  • Providing the metrics required to support key business goals.
  • Creating and supporting new business intelligence services to address emerging need.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Finance or other quantitative field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience conducting research or analyses.
  • Experience Managing concurrent projects for multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in an analytical/statistical focused position; ideally related to media, marketing and demand generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to define key business KPIs and establish performance measurement frameworks.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive data discovery, data extraction using Teradata SQL in a corporate EDW environment.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server for ad-hoc analysis and building drill-down dashboards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and charting) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience providing recommendations to stakeholders, partners, and business leadership within a matrixed organization.
  • Data Visualization experience, built visually appealing & compelling presentations.
  • Experience developing automated data extraction using SQL queries and Alteryx/Knime to regularly update data sources.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Advanced business degree (MS or MBA).
  • Consulting, market research or ad agency experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Worked with Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or Thoughtspot.
  • Experience with Google Slides/Sheets.
  • Experience with digital analytics software (e.g.; Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
