Change.org helps people around the world drive social impact and create the change they want to see. Change.org is looking for a Principal Product Manager, Growth to bring change-makers onto the platform and help deliver victories for petition starters and their supporters.

As a key member of our Product team, you’ll identify new opportunities for significant growth and optimize our existing business drivers. You will work closely with a dedicated engineering team of two as well as design, collaborating to prioritize and implement impactful initiatives.

We’re a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the world's largest social change platform with 100m monthly users, 50,000+ campaigns launched on the site every month, and a 100% user-generated revenue model. Our users win campaigns for change once every hour.

From mobilizing over 5 million people to investigate the fires in the Amazon, to mobilizing nearly 3 million against war and famine in Yemen, to large-scale mobilizations for the people of Iran and against the war in Ukraine, and calling for Racial Justice in the US, many movements were born on Change.org. Dozens of local, national, and international victories are happening every day thanks to the strength of our members who are changing the lives of people around the world. We want to help them go even further and we need your help!

Key Outcomes:

  • Manage Growth Strategy & Roadmap. Partner with leadership to develop a Growth Strategy that allows us to expand into new audiences & channels. Create, own and execute against the Growth roadmap while working cross-functionally to magnify your impact.
  • Find New Levers for Growth: Drive significant growth in Petition Creation and Signs through our existing channels (SEO, SEM, Social Sharing) while identifying and scaling new opportunities.
  • Optimize Conversion and Build Growth Loops: Improve conversion through our full funnel by optimizing the entire user experience; build new growth loops and accelerate our existing growth loops (Supporter to Petition Starter, etc).
  • Content Strategy: Expand petition creation market share through SEO by capturing new audience segments (causes and movements) as well as petitions concerning local issues through optimizing or launching new landing pages and content.
  • Analytics & Operations: Deeply understand analytics and performance of channels and provide weekly updates on key metrics and progress. Oversee key growth operations (paid spend, content development, etc).

The most important core competencies for the role are:

  • Ownership and Results: A demonstrated ability to own a larger volume, scope, or complexity of work, while maintaining your ability to prioritize and drive excellent results.
  • Strategy & Planning: Experience in outlining the strategy of a Growth team, ensuring that your goals and roadmap are directly supportive of our mission, vision, and strategic priorities. You communicate strategy effectively to stakeholders to gain buy-in.
  • Analysis, Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: You come up with and execute complex analyses with limited supervision. You make data-driven decisions. You can solve problems end-to-end with limited supervision.
  • Product Management: You are an experienced Product Manager, who can create product roadmaps and collaborate with engineering to execute autonomously.

Target experience:

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in product management, with a strong background in working directly with engineering teams
  • You bring 2+ years of growth product experience specifically, with a focus on finding and developing new opportunities/channels for growth.
  • Strong technical background - at minimum the role requires the ability to write SQL for data analytics.
