About the role

The Export documentation specialist will be required to oversee the entire documentation process.

The role begins on-site and later offers the opportunity to work from home for 2 days a week.

What will I be doing?

• Communicate and negotiate with freight forwarders
• Communicate with appropriate internal and external departments, freight forwarders, trading banks and customers when required.
• Correspond with customers for approval of documents.
• Create, assemble, and submit applicable export documents required per country requirements in accordance with export and import laws and regulations.
• Assist with invoice creation.
• Follow up with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of all necessary documents.
• Proofread commercial documents.
• Ensure clients, departments and/or other required parties are kept fully informed of transport arrangements and status on a regular basis from departure to arrival of goods.
• Follow up on each export shipment and keep track of changed departure and arrival dates.

What do I need to be successful?

• Previous experience with exports and understanding International Trade Requirements.
• Knowledge of different international payment terms.
• Proficiency in standard office software including microsoft office.
• Willingness to assist other departments to meet customer requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
