POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba, a leading provider of access control solutions, is seeking a Vice President of Sales for its Hospitality segment. This role is part of the Specialty Access Solutions business, encompassing Hospitality, Vacation Rentals, and Workforce Solutions. The Hospitality segment designs and supplies electronic locking solutions for the hospitality sector, covering areas from guest rooms to common areas, parking, and back-of-house applications. Our solutions are endorsed and specified by top global chains like Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt, as well as numerous economy brands and independent chains.

 

This US-based position can be remote or located at a dormakaba facility near the candidate's current location. The VP of Sales will lead a team of 55, develop strategic sales growth plans, and achieve company targets and metrics, including budget and EBITDA. The role focuses on driving annual revenue sales and expanding a robust recurring revenue business.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $175,000-185,000 base salary (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Act as an engaging and culturally savvy sales leader for the North American hospitality sales team, driving competitive performance
  • Utilize SalesForce.com to lead effective S&OP and forecasting processes with manufacturing teams, ensuring product availability and reduced lead times
  • Support and enhance the Sandler Sales Methodology within the organization, promoting continuous improvement in consultative selling techniques
  • Understand the hotel technology stack and cultivate strong relationships with technology partners (e.g., mobile credential solutions) to facilitate technical integrations and boost sales growth
  • Evaluate and recommend participation in industry events and meetings.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of the competitive landscape, developing counterstrategies and differentiation tactics to strengthen our market position

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE 

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree
  • Deep understanding of the hospitality industry and the hotel tech stack
  • A demonstrated history of sales growth leadership, or business or structural turnaround
  • Leading sales teams in direct sales and through channel partners managing national or global accounts with a measurable growth track record
  • A digital expert who utilizes CRM and BI tools to guide business decisions and actions
