Job Overview:

As the AVP, Sales Strategy and Operations your responsibilities will span from shaping pivotal sales strategies to leading the operational execution of critical initiatives. You will develop market insights and recommendations for our sales professionals through competitive analysis, streamline sales processes through workflow evaluation and mapping, manage reporting and forecasting of OKRs and KPIs, and create executive-level content.

You should be someone who combines strategic thinking, human-centered design, market research, and data analysis to identify business value and customer needs so we drive advisor growth and attract more leading advisors to join LPL from the top global banks, wirehouses, and RIAs.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Market Analysis

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and unique competitive advantages over our top competitors

  • Deliver data-driven actionable insights and recommendations to business development sales professionals to enable pipeline feeding and management and to enhance prospect engagement

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term goals and develop strategic roadmaps.

  • Develop compelling content from competitive intelligence, to be readily usable by our sales professionals to attract and win prospects over

  • Create documents, frameworks, and in-depth analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to present insights 

2. Operational Excellence and Process Optimization

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable projects; implement process enhancements to create sales efficiencies and increase our deal efficacy 

  • Map end-to-end processes across our sales department, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

  • Champion a customer-centric approach to sales operations, to design and enhance the advisor experience throughout the sales lifecycle

  • Work closely with different teams across marketing, finance and business development to optimize workflows and ensure alignment with strategic goals

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales operations and our department-wide OKRs.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or related roles 

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on execution

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry

  • Passion for fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environments

Preferences:

  • Consulting background and experience is a plus

  • Understanding of Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design principles is a plus

  • Superior analytical skills to identify relevant data and insights and present them in an actionable manner

  • Superior presentation skills, with robust experience developing strategic narratives and positionings


 

Pay Range:

$121,440-$182,160/year


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
