Clinical Data Abstractor
Summary:
e4health has an exciting opportunity upcoming for Clinical Data Abstractors to join our team! We're looking for candidates with clinical backgrounds (RNs, LPN, MAs, CNA, etc.) who either want to move into a new field or add on some supplemental work to their current day to day. These projects are estimated to start toward the end of the Summer, in late August.
Responsibilities:
- Review medical charts to ensure that data is transcribed from the legacy EHR into the new EHR, including order name, order number, ordering physician, diagnosis code and other relevant information
- Maintain required timeline for data submission
- Demonstrate knowledge of current clinical practice guidelines and applies this to case review
- Ensure that data is stored safely and securely to prevent unauthorized access or loss
- Maintain patient confidentiality by protecting patient information from unauthorized disclosure
- Ability to adapt to changing workflow, as required by the project
Client Required Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare preferred, equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
- A degree/background in nursing is strongly preferred
- Experience using Epic is required
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a remote setting
- Proficient in computer skills, including typing, navigating and using various HER systems
- Possess a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
