Project Director, Supply Chain Consulting

About the Role:    

The Project Director, Supply Chain Consulting, is a member of the Supply Chain Consulting group.  This group is responsible for supporting various pre-sales activity and in project delivery of consulting engagements.  The group will work closely with the Solutions Design group for developing the requirements and concepts for various types of DC design and Supply Chain projects.

About the Team:    

The consulting group at DCS is responsible for developing and delivering a wide variety of supply chain consulting engagements across multiple industries and verticals.  This team will engage in projects ranging from DC design to Operations Improvements, Assessments, and Labor efficiency studies.

In this role, you will:    

• Serve as key customer lead during consulting projects working closely with internal and external teams to drive value in the customer related objectives.
• Provide strategic data analytics utilizing large, detailed data sets in areas such as slotting, item affinity analysis, storage requirements, inventory optimization, order picking comparisons, labor analysis, work standards, and process optimizations
• Serve as an SME for Industrial Engineering efforts within the Consulting group
• Give client facing presentations of findings, recommendations, and best practices for appropriate solutions
• Develop proposals and scope of work documents for both existing clients and potential sales leads
• Develop hours estimates related to consulting projects
• Develop final project delivery documents for various supply chain consulting engagements
• Travel onsite as needed for project activities (25-60%)

We’re Excited About You Because:    

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
• 15+ years full time experience working in supply chain related industries
• Function as an expert on Supply Chain Consulting – specific, specialized tasks effectively using the necessary process, tools and operational processes and coach others to maximize usage.
• Develop and review statements of work related to consulting opportunities.
• Proficiency in data analytics within DC design field including slotting, labor analytics, WMS/LMS systems, facility design criteria, and transportation mode analysis
• Proficient with MS SQL, Power BI, MS Access, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations to clients and/or industry conferences
• Ability to lead and train other team members
