Who you are: 

The CIEE High School USA team is seeking a highly motivated sales manager, capable of managing a diverse team of independent contractors remotely.  

 As Regional Placement Manager (RPM) you will be responsible for managing the placement of incoming international high school students on year-long U.S. programs with volunteer host families.

 

Your responsibilities will include recruiting, training, and managing a team of Local Coordinators (independent contractors), volunteer host families, and public high schools. You will train, support, and empower your team of Local Coordinators to achieve annual goals and ensure proper community outreach, and support of students in the program. This role will have a target number of placements, similar to a sales goal. Therefore, we are seeking someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working towards a target number of student placements as a measure of success.                                                                                                            

What you’ll do

  • Meet and/or exceed assigned placement targets within established deadlines.
  • Generate leads through creative outreach and marketing.
  • Establish and manage a Local Coordinator team (approx. size of 30-50) to represent CIEE “on the ground” in their local communities, to support your placement goals. 
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the team to reach their designated goals, as well as your own.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success in sales-type roles (lead generation and conversion) in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Management experience, preferably in engaging and motivating remote teams.
  • Experience managing volunteers or independent contractors. 
  • Ability to manage high-volume goals within tight deadlines.
  • Consistent monitoring of the sales activity of the team, and tracking of results.
  • Self-motivated and goal-orientated, with an attitude to overcome any challenge.
  • Familiar and comfortable with full-time remote work.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT) is necessary.
  • Experience with CRM type databases is a plus; Salesforce experience is preferred.
  • A positive attitude, that can engage and support the CIEE mission.
  • Ability to travel domestically AND internationally, several times per year.

The position is available to applicants in Canada and the United States, except for applicants residing in:
