About the Role:
As we continue to grow JumpCloud internationally, we are hiring a principal engineer for JumpCloud India. You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in the success and development of our engineering teams in addition to growing your own career. We are seeking a senior engineer who is passionate about building great products with forward looking vision.
You will be responsible for building new technology initiatives. You’ll build out features, help drive architecture, define best practices and enable platform quality.
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will:Regularly tackle the largest and most complex problems on the team. Serve as a technical leader on cross-functional projects.Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.Exert technical influence to help teams build highly available, reliable and performant solutions by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.Work alongside other Principal Engineers and Architects to drive a shared strategy across our teamsPartner across engineering to empower initiatives that will impact and benefit multiple teamsAssist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals on advanced technical issuesBalance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.We’re looking for:15+ years experience as an engineer and leading complex engineering projectsExperience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP or Azure)Strong knowledge of Go, Java, Typescript or other programming languagesDomain expertise of Active Directory including LDAP and RadiusExperience working in a distributed systems environmentStrong leadership and collaboration skills to help technically drive and oversee complex projects on multiple teams from conception to completionAbility to work with ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental valueProven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrong technical foundation in software engineering design principlesExperience working with geographically diverse engineering teams in today’s remote first work environment#LI-
Where you’ll be working/Location:

Please note: There is an expectation that our engineers participate in on-call shifts. You will be expected commit to being ready and able to respond during your assigned shift, so that alerts don't go unaddressed.

JumpCloud has teams in 15+ countries around the world and conducts our internal business in English. The interview and any additional screening process will take place primarily in English.
