Senior Full-stack Developer (Romania and Finland)

Location -  Romania and Finland 

Our current technology stack includes     

• NodeJS microservices with Typescript and NestJS 
• PHP 8 Laravel 11 Monolith, and PHP legacy system    
• React based end user UI’s     
• MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS     
• Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes     
• GitLab Pipelines for CI/CD     
     

What we expect you to know     

• Hands-on experience with back-end development with TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js/Nest,js
• Previous experience in developing scalable and maintainable APIs
• Good knowledge of and PHP/Laravel.  
• Familiarity with databases (eg. MySQL, PostgreSQL).  
  
• Good experience with modern CI/CD systems and knowledge of cloud services (eg. AWS).
  

• Familiar with some frameworks such as Laravel, NestJS, Express.js etc.     
• Experience in Scrum or another Agile way of working. 
• We consider this an advantage if you have prior experience in consulting companies, particularly direct involvement in professional services units and customer projects.
  
  

What we expect from you   

• Experience from working directly with customers on a day to day basis
• Offer technical guidance, work estimation and technical consultancy for customer projects. 
• Drive the development of solutions for customer projects. 
• Collaborate with the project team (Project Manager, Solution Consultant, Test Engineers business stakeholders, etc.) to ensure the delivered solution aligns with the customer's requirements. 
  
• You are not afraid to ask hard questions or asking help from your colleagues.   
  
• You can communicate fluently in English, as it is the main working language at Virta, and you enjoy working in an international environment together with development teams and businesses.    
• Currently, we are only considering candidates from Romania and Finland.  We are not offering B2B contracts at this moment.
