Parexel is seeking a motivated Senior Systems Engineer - Windows to join our global team. Significant experience required with both Windows and Automation/Orchestration technologies focusing mainly on build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our platforms and infrastructure.  You will become part of a diligent team of engineers that deliver infrastructure solutions to host mission critical applications on-premises and in the cloud. This role focuses on maintaining and promoting security, availability, and redundancy strategies.
 

 Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineer, or a related degree.
• 5+ years working within a Windows Operating System Environment.
• Highly organized and have clear, concise communication skills.
• Ability to function in a Global organization with a flexible and dynamic team environment.
• Significant experience with scripting / automation technologies (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
• Significant Operating System Engineering Experience (Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022).
• Significant Experience in Active Directory and all related services (GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience in managing Virtual Machines in Azure.
• Experience with VMWare ESXi.
• Experience with Windows patch management processes- Ivanti – a plus.
• Experience with Data Protection solutions – CommVault a plus.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery Strategies and Technologies- Zerto a plus.
• Linux RHEL / CentOS – a plus.
• Storage Experience (DELL / EMC, HP, NetApp) – both FC and iSCSI a plus.
   

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for technical management, operation, and maintenance of Server infrastructure.
• Defines, reviews, and maintains hardware/software technical standards, especially related to installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of systems.
• Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, software, and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Keeps IT management abreast of any changes across multiple technologies which may impact business decisions.
• Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to other team members and teams.
• Mentor junior staff members to promote standardization and project initiatives / Provide orientation and training.
• Final technical escalation point for technical issues from associated IT teams and members.
• Ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systems that support core organizational functions.
• Monitors key system parameters to ensure optimum performance and maximum system uptime is being maintained for essential systems.
• Required to participate in an on-call rotation.
