Senior Proposition Development Manager

This role would be a great fit for a leader who has experience in proposition development, change management or digital and customer experience delivery, as you will be accountable for developing, delivering, and presenting new propositions for Aviva’s workplace customers.

This role will require regular travel to Aviva sites.

A bit about the job:

You will be responsible for leading a team of Proposition Managers and Consultants, providing support and direction to deliver great outcomes for our customers, and for leading delivery across larger multi-functional virtual teams. You will be part of a broader Proposition leadership team where you will need to work together to deliver a combined and prioritised roadmap across the Workplace proposition. Bringing new propositions to market will be a key part of your role, which will include working closely with our Distribution teams, and sometimes directly with our clients and advisers, to ensure customer needs are understood and the proposition is showcased brilliantly through presentations and pitches. You may be working with external organisations to deliver propositions with partners who have complementary products and services or expertise in a particular area. You will have the opportunity to be innovative and find new opportunities.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong leadership skills, i.e., prior exposure to managing a small to medium sized team either directly or through matrix management

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently communicate to employees up to C-suite level and to external partners

  • Experience of change management/delivery in a business capacity would be preferable (aka knowing how to get stuff done!) – propositions, operations, etc.

  • Risk awareness; managing the relevant risks and issues impacting both customers and the wider business, developing mitigating actions and controls

  • An ability to ‘tell the story’ of the Proposition team, championing the delivery plan and roadmap, bringing stakeholders on the journey

  • Starting salary between £55,000 and £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
