The Opportunity

In this position you would be reporting to the National Sales Training Manager.  We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the development of training programs to support the evolving needs of the Sales Organization.  Including, but not limited to: FreeStyle Libre product portfolio training, product launches, skill competency development and analytics training.

  • Support the processes and projects surrounding National Sales Meetings from content development to pre-work, creative and engaging workshops and effective pull through activities post NSM.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to build effective training materials to support strategic direction and programming (i.e. Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Analytics).

  • Lead the New Hire Sales Training program, including maintenance of resources and content in the self-guided program housed in Allego.

  • Conduct field rides in a cross-section of regions to observe implementation and adoption of training initiatives and strategic positioning of programs.  By playing the role of observer in the field, assess practicality and success of training programs and make adaptations where appropriate.

  • Facilitate training workshops either in person or through distance education where required.

  • Use of selling tools including software applications and hardware used to deliver sales programs, strategies, and messages (e-detailer, Allego, Microstrategy, SFDC).

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate university studies that normally last four years.

  • Extensive knowledge and an understanding of the job and its practical application (From 3-5 years).

  • In-field sales experience working in the diabetes category.

  • GP/Specialty sales experience.

  • Marketing experience.

  • Field Sales Training experience.

  • Adult Education and teaching.

  • Strong communication, both verbal and written.

  • Compelling presentation and facilitation skills.

  • High level of organization and professionalism required.

  • Ability to execute and perform at a high level while prioritizing needs and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to influence behavior by connecting with others through coaching.

  • Ability to speak both English and French an asset.

  • Familiarity with the diabetes category and the disease state of diabetes.

  • Knowledge of Abbott ADC products and strategies will be considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.

  • Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Abbott key principles.

  • Daily requirement: advanced level expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Allego.

  • Frequent use of databases: SFDC and MicroStrategy.

  • Travel within Canada.

  • International Travel.

  • Valid Driver's License.
