Job Description

As an Associate, your primary role within the Strategy & Insights team is to provide support and ownership of day-to-day needs for 3-4 long-term communities, leading to high quality delivery of insights and related recommendations for a wide range of clients and categories.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to managing community logistics (e.g., recruitment, respondent engagement and communications, community health tracking, incentive payments), programming activities, developing community activities guides, online moderation, notetaking, contributing to reports/deliverables and supporting account management (e.g., attending client calls).

High attention to detail and accuracy, autonomy in self-management, creativity, and flexibility.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing deadlines and needs with some senior oversight.

Skills required for success include critical thinking, strategic thinking, project management and problem identification/solving. Ability to learn and adapt to cutting edge technologies to drive efficiency.

You will be mentored by senior leadership and receive on-the-job formal training through Material.

 Qualifications

  • We are open to alternative modes of education and experience that qualify candidates for the role. Many successful candidates have Bachelors degrees and/or studies in a social science, communications, or business related field and we welcome different backgrounds of study.
  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year work experience, preferably related.
  • You possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive to do whatever it takes to make big impact for your team and clients.
  • You have an eye for details and make a conscious effort to understand the actual cause behind an occurrence.
  • You can adapt to changing priorities to meet multiple project timelines and client needs.
  • You are a critical thinker with some basic business acumen.

  • You have a desire to understand consumers (e.g., what motivates them, the why behind their decision making).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize information.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recruitment, fieldwork, analysis, and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to present research findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and effectively manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Curiosity and Learning Mindset: Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, openess to sharing, receiving, asking for and applying feedback. And adaptability to new methodologies and technologies in the market research field.

Pay Range: $23/hr - $24/hr

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
