Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

The Accounting Admin Executive, reporting directly to the accountant, will facilitate seamless business operations and growth by providing efficient financial operations, compliance, and administrative support, contributing to the company's success.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work across all client accounts, ensuring seamless operations and growth.
  • Manage client relationships effectively, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling transactions and preparing balance sheets.
  • Assist in handling Hong Kong tax returns and employee tax returns.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the accounting department.
  • Coordinate the work being done across multiple client accounts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Use Xero accounting software proficiently for primary accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with other accountants and other team members to meet department goals.
  • Follow up on tax-related matters and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support the team in various accounting functions, focusing primarily on bookkeeping for clients.
  • Work independently as an individual contributor in a remote setting.

Must-have Skills / Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in industries such as wine, retail/wholesale e-commerce, or trading.
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software is required; familiarity with Microsoft or Google environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, while also collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Some experience in accounting, with the ability to coordinate work across multiple client accounts.
  • Proficiency in Xero Accounting Software
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Advantageous:

  • Experience in an international trading company or with international clients is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a Hong Kong company, firm, or with outsourcing/international clients/staff is a plus.
  • Experience working with Western clients is a plus.
  • Experience in stable companies previously or currently is preferred.
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with handling tax returns is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a remote work setting
